First off, I would like to mention that this website’s namesake, Whitey Herzog was nominated for the Hall of Fame last week.   

I have a story on the Minor League Free Agent Market over at the Birdhouse. 

 Also at the Birdhouse we are doing our Players of the Year for each Minor League Affiliate.  So far Johnson City, GCL/DSL/VSL, and Springfield have been reviewed.  My Batavia winners will be published on Tuesday. 

 The Free Agent spending frenzy starts soon.  Where’s Eck going? 

Blake Dewitt is hitting .326/.396/.457 in the Arizona Fall League.
