Cards trade for Russell Branyan, lately with the Phillies, for a PTBNL. Though he provides tremendous power, he strikes out a lot and is a defensive liability. To make room for Branyan, the Cardinals placed Scott Rolen on the DL. Get the feeling this is the last time we see Rolen this year?
Branyan is a career .229 hitter with 120 HRs and 740 Ks in 1836 ABs.
