They are going to leave him at third until he proves he can't play it. That being said, I think that Freese is a guy that could be a solid big league regular. His defense is above average and he provides good pop at the plate. What he is going to have to do is make consistent contact. Freese struck out 111 times in 464 at bats last season at Memphis. He is a class act who is deserving of this opportunity. It has to be really awesome to make your big league debut with your hometown team. I hope Mather keeps his head up and doesn't let his struggles this spring affect him too much. I have to wonder how much of the position switch led to his horrendous offensive production.
