The Cardinals’ perennial Gold Glove outfielder Jim Edmonds has been traded to the San Diego Padres for Class A Third baseman, David Freese. Along with Edmonds, the Cardinals will also send cash considerations according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

i am actually glad to see edmonds leave. it will be nice to see somebody younger and healthier in center field. sorry to all the jim edmonds fans.
