They will baby Carp a little this year. I'm still pulling for Schumaker to pull off the second base switch, but I still don't feel it is likely. Thurston has a leg up if Schu doesn't make the switch (due to the fact he's left handed), though I could see them carry Brendan Ryan as well (vs. lefties).
