In the latest round of callups, Brian Barden and Brian Falkenborg will be making their way to St. Louis.
Barden is an infielder that was picked up on waivers from the Arizona system. He is a plus defender that I believe is the Cardinals best defensive option at third.
Falkenborg appeared in 6 games this season with the Cardinals and posted an ERA of 4.91 ERA. Memphis’ primary closer before the promotion of Chris Perez, Falkenborg posted a 3.25 ERA in 52 games.
